France will pay people to repair clothes and shoes

Bérangère Couillard, the secretary of state for ecology, invited all sewing workshops and shoemakers to join the scheme, which will be run by the eco-organisation Refashion. “The goal is to support those who carry out repairs,” Couillard said during the visit.
